Samariddin Kuchkorov won Uzbekistan's first medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Lausanne.

Judoka Samariddin Kuchkorov won a bronze medal at the Grand Slam tournament in Lausanne, Switzerland. This was the first award for the Uzbekistan national team at the current competition.

Kuchkorov, competing in the 60-kilogram weight class, defeated Sherzod Davlatov of Kazakhstan in the third-place bout.

The tournament runs until August 30. More than 500 athletes from 77 countries are participating. Uzbekistan is represented by 21 judokas.
