Saida Mirziyoyeva awarded the winners of "Zakovat-Gambit"

Nearly 6,000 participants took part in the fifth "Zakovat-Gambit" chess tournament, which is twice as many as last year. Of these, 633 were women and girls. According to Saida Mirziyoyeva, the "Zakovat" project not only discovers talented youth, but also serves to shape a culture of thinking, independent thought, and rational decision-making skills.

Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, attended the award ceremony for the winners of the "Zakovat-Gambit" chess tournament.

"The intellectual potential of a country is determined not only by the achievements of talented individuals, but also by the scope of opportunities created to bring out the abilities of every person.

Yesterday, we awarded the winners of the 'Zakovat-Gambit' chess tournament, which was held for the fifth time. This year's competition brought together nearly 6,000 participants, which is twice as many as last year's figure. Among them, 633 were women and girls. Behind these numbers lies a growing interest in intellectual competitions, a drive for knowledge, and our youth's confidence in their own strength and capabilities.

Uzbekistan has been achieving enviable results in the international chess arena. However, there is another even more important factor: an environment is being shaped in our country that serves to fully reveal the mental potential of every individual.

This is precisely where I see the special significance of the 'Zakovat' project. This project not only discovers talented youth, but also serves to form a culture of thinking, independent thought, and rational decision-making skills. After all, the future of our country depends not only on how knowledgeable the younger generation is, but also on the extent to which they can apply this knowledge and on their breadth of vision," said Saida Mirziyoyeva.
