SAFE Service has refuted reports of a potential leak of SafeRoad app users' personal data. The company called inaccurate the publications that previously appeared on social networks, which claimed that user information was allegedly found in the databases of OSINT bots.
The authors of these posts claimed that data from ID cards, bank cards linked to fine payments, as well as information about the devices used to access the application, could have been made publicly available.
SAFE Service explained that the published information had been collected from various sources long before the launch of SafeRoad. According to the company, these data are unrelated to its activities.
The company also stated that it ensures the protection of users' personal data in accordance with legal requirements. Regarding the dissemination of the information, SAFE Service is cooperating with authorized state authorities.
Final conclusions about a possible leak will be drawn following an investigation. At present, there is no independent confirmation of a leak in the provided information.
