US President Donald Trump stated that an agreement with Tehran could be reached before resuming military strikes against Iran.

According to Reuters, in recent weeks Trump had been hinting at the resumption of attacks on Iran after the midterm elections. However, on November 2, journalists in Washington asked him whether he plans to strike Iran after the election. Trump replied "no" to this.

The war with Iran is one of the main reasons for the rise in gasoline prices in the US, which is severely impacting voters. Therefore, Trump has come under pressure regarding the termination of the conflict.

Iranian negotiators held talks on ending the war with Qatari mediators in Doha for the third consecutive day on November 1. Trump stated he believes Iran wants a deal and that reaching such an agreement is possible. Vice President J.D. Vance also reported that there had been several good conversations with the Iranians.

The head of the White House reiterated that the main requirement is that Iran must not possess nuclear weapons. "We will never allow Iran to have nuclear weapons, and they understand this," Trump said. The American leader also claimed that there has been almost no fighting recently, asserting that the operation is not actually a war.

The Iranian side did not comment on Trump's statements. Earlier, they had warned that if the US resumes military operations, the geography of retaliatory strikes would expand and become even more destructive.

On November 2, Russia struck a humanitarian aid distribution point in the Zaporizhzhia region with aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, at least 26 people were killed and 5 people were injured.

According to the BBC, citing Ukrainian officials, at least 9 three-ton aerial bombs were dropped on the village of Komyshuvakha. Initially, 27 people were reported missing. According to the emergency services, 2 rescuers and 4 police officers were also among those killed.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a local school previously used for humanitarian purposes was struck first. After that, a second attack was launched on the place where people were hiding. Zelenskyy said that the residents remaining in the village receive humanitarian aid here every week, and that the Russians could not have been unaware of this.
