Russia and Uzbekistan Strengthen Tourism Ties

The Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) and the Tourism Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the participation of the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan, have signed a cooperation agreement in the field of tourism.

According to the FNPR, this document aims to develop joint recreation and health programs, as well as expand tourism opportunities between the two countries.

The agreement aims to leverage the potential of Russian and Uzbek trade unions to organize tourism flows. As part of the agreements reached, it is planned to create special tourism offers for trade union members and their families.

Family, children's, health resort, medical, and cultural tourism are identified as separate areas of cooperation.

On the Russian side, the FNPR health resort association "Profkurort" will organize the trips.

FNPR Deputy Chairman Andrei Titov emphasized that the agreement is intended to provide additional opportunities for high-quality recreation, health improvement, and cultural development for trade union members and their families.

"It is fundamentally important for us to create additional opportunities for trade union members and their families to enjoy quality recreation, health improvement, and cultural development. Uzbekistan and Russia have significant potential in health resort, family, and cultural tourism," Titov stated.

According to him, the agreement will open up new opportunities for workers, youth, and labor veterans, and will also enable the development of joint recreation and health programs.

The parties intend to leverage cooperation between relevant organizations in Russia and Uzbekistan to increase tourism exchange and create new opportunities for travel between the two countries.
