Rock collapse kills two in Turkey's Cappadocia, local media reports

At least two people have died after a rock formation gave way at a tourist site in Turkey's historic Cappadocia region, according to local media reports.

One of the formations, known as "fairy chimneys", is said to have collapsed at the popular Göreme Open Air Museum.

Ambulances and rescue teams have been sent to the area, and a search and rescue operation is now underway.

The cause of Thursday's incident was not immediately clear, although local media reports said there had been heavy rain in the region.
