Reimbursement program: population is being provided with 28 types of medicines free of charge for 12 types of diseases

**Reimbursement program: 28 types of medicines for 12 types of diseases are being provided to the population free of charge**
In Uzbekistan, convenient opportunities have been created for the population through the Reimbursement program. In accordance with the relevant resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers dated October 2, 2024, 28 types of medicines for 12 types of diseases, such as arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, diabetes insipidus, bronchial asthma, and gastrointestinal tract diseases, are being provided free of charge.
However, it cannot be said that all citizens are equally well aware of the procedure for using the Reimbursement program.
1) First of all, you contact your assigned family doctor;
2) They will conduct examinations on you based on clinical protocols;
3) If the disease is confirmed, the family doctor will issue an electronic prescription for you;
4) The electronic prescription is reviewed and approved by the Chairman of the Standing Commission;
5) You receive the medicines specified in the electronic prescription from a pharmacy that has concluded an agreement with the State Health Insurance Fund. The funds are transferred to the pharmacy by this fund;
Remember: if you do not go to the pharmacy within 7 days, you will have to obtain the electronic prescription again.
6) You take the medicines received on the basis of the electronic prescription for one month — 30 days;
7) If your recovery is confirmed after a certain period, the family doctor will remove you from the dispensary register.
"If you are bedridden, a medical team will visit your home and the family doctor will write an electronic prescription for you. The medicines will be delivered by one of your family members or a patronage nurse.
Do not forget that you can receive medicines within the framework of the Reimbursement program free of charge every month!" – says the report of the Ministry of Health press service.
