The three leading Spanish clubs — Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid — are competing to sign Dutch midfielder Kes Smith from AZ Alkmaar. AS reports.

According to the source, the 20-year-old Dutch player is also being sought by teams from the English Premier League. However, Smith himself prefers to continue his career in Spain. AZ Alkmaar is now ready to sell its talented player for 60 million euros.

Recall that in the winter transfer window, Atletico Madrid tried to make this transfer, but the Dutch club refused to sell its player.

Smith is reported to have made 46 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring five goals and providing 10 assists. The midfielder's current contract with the club runs until the summer of 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €25 million.
