Quiz: Do you know Shavkat Rahmon's poems?
September 12 marked the 76th anniversary of the birth of Shavkat Rahmon, author of poetry collections such as 'Rangin lavhalar' (Colorful Scenes), 'Yurak qirralari' (Edges of the Heart), and 'Uyg‘oq tog‘lar' (Awake Mountains). In honor of this date, Gazeta has prepared a quiz based on the creator's poems.

Shavkat Rahmon was born on September 12, 1950, in the city of Osh. Having graduated from high school in 1966, the creator studied at the Literary Institute in Moscow. The poet's first poems were published in the newspapers of the Osh region, and his first poetry collection, titled "Rangin lavhalar" (Colorful Plaques), was published in 1978.
In 1981, "Yurak qirralari" (Edges of the Heart) was published, followed by the consecutive releases of "Ochiq kunlar" (Open Days) and "Gullayotgan tosh" (Blooming Stone) in 1983–1984. In 1986–1988, his poetry collections such as "Uyg‘oq tog‘lar" (Awake Mountains) and "Hulvo" were printed. Shavkat Rahmon, who translated the poems of the Spanish poet Garcia Lorca, had his "Saylanma" (Selected Works) presented after his death — after 1996.
