Presidential Administration Bill Sent to Senate
The meeting considered in the second reading the draft Constitutional Law "On the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan", which defines the legal status, main tasks, procedure for organizing activities and powers of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Draft law on the Presidential Administration sent to the Senate
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The draft Constitutional law “On the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, which determines the legal status, main tasks, procedure for organizing the activities and powers of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was considered in the second reading in the Majlis.
This draft law was developed based on the requirements of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan and aims to determine the place, legal status and main areas of activity of the Presidential Administration in the system of public administration at the level of constitutional law.
The draft provides for the formation of the Administration by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as its leadership by the Head of the Administration, who is appointed and dismissed by the President.
The status of the Administration, the main principles of its activities, the structural structure and the procedure for organizing its activities, its interaction with state bodies and organizations, as well as the guarantees of the activities of officials, management and employees of the Administration are clearly defined.
In addition, the draft law also reveals the relations of state bodies and organizations of the Administration with internal control structures for compliance and anti-corruption.
International and foreign experience was studied in the preparation of the draft law. In particular, in the USA, Finland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Latvia, Taiwan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, the legal status of the Presidential Administration (Chancellery, Office) is established in separate laws.
As noted, the draft law was discussed in detail in the factions of all political parties and in the responsible committee. Legal scholars, specialists in the field and experts were involved in the discussions. During the preparation for the second reading, each proposal received was considered article by article, and those that were considered relevant and justified were reflected in the draft law.
It was noted that the adoption of this constitutional draft law will serve to improve the legal mechanisms for organizational, legal and analytical support for the activities of the President, strengthen cooperation between state bodies, and increase the efficiency of management processes.
Following the discussions, the draft law was adopted by the deputies in the third reading and sent to the Senate.
