It is planned to increase the level of involvement of children in preschool education in the 2026/2027 academic year. This is stated in the order of the Ministry of Preschool and School Education on the preparation of preschool educational organizations for the 2026/2027 academic year and the effective organization of the process of accepting children.
According to the document, out of a total of 3 million 422 thousand 932 children aged 3 to 7 in the republic, it is aimed to cover 2 million 670 thousand 242 with preschool education. This will bring the overall coverage level to 78%.
To achieve this, children aged 3 to 6 will be registered and attracted to vacant groups and places in kindergartens. Directors of state preschool educational organizations will be assigned to nearby neighborhoods and take measures to attract children who are not covered by preschool education.
In addition, it is planned to establish the activities of "Early Development Centers" and cover children in them. It is also planned to put state kindergartens under construction and reconstruction within the framework of the 2026 program for the development of social and industrial infrastructure into operation in September-December.
