Physical abuse of children revealed at the "G'amho'rlik" center in Andijan

Cases of physical violence against children were identified in the “Gamxorlik” center for children with disabilities located in the Kurgan-Tepa district of Andijan region. This was reported by the National Agency for Social Protection.

After videos of this incident were distributed on social networks, employees of the Andijan regional department of the National Agency for Social Protection conducted an investigation. According to the results of the investigation, 6 educators and 1 nurse seen in the video were dismissed from their positions, and their employment contracts were terminated in accordance with the procedure established by law.

Disciplinary measures were taken against responsible employees who did not adequately monitor the work of educators. Also, children in the institution underwent a medical examination with the involvement of specialists from the medical association in the region.

In addition, additional surveillance cameras were installed around the playgrounds for children in the “Gamxorlik” center.
