The construction of two 500-megawatt solar power plants in Namangan itself, the construction of about 300 megawatt hydroelectric power plants in Uchkurgan, Naryn, and Uchkurgan districts, and the construction of another 200 megawatt in Pop district are examples of these words. is proof.
The regional governor delivered his speech from the energy storage system built in the most remote part of the Uchkurgan district, bordering Kyrgyzstan. According to the press service of the governor's office, when the project is fully operational, it is planned to provide the Uzbek power grid with about 580 million kWh of electricity per year.
Shavkat Abdurazzokov noted that entrepreneurs are supported in Namangan, that $4 billion was invested in the region last year, in the first eight months of 2026 this figure reached $3.2 billion, and it is planned to attract $5 billion in investment by the end of the year.
He said that three projects worth a total of $210 million have been launched in the region in cooperation with Azerbaijan. Also, this year, 1,300 kilometers of internal roads are being repaired and improved in Namangan increased. In recent years, 6.4 thousand kilometers of internal roads have been paved in the region.
The governor said that this year, investments worth 12 trillion soums are being absorbed in the region from all sources, and promised to fulfill the tasks set to reduce poverty and eliminate unemployment by the end of the year.

The ceremony of commissioning new facilities in the regions on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Independence, attended by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, was held on August 25. At the ceremony, 72 large industrial and service projects worth 50 trillion soums and 91 social sector facilities were put into operation.
