Passing scores for women's preferential quota increased
Passing scores for the preferential quota for needy women who received a recommendation letter for admission to higher education institutions in 2026 have been announced. In some regions and areas of education, passing scores increased significantly compared to last year, while in others a decrease was noted. The largest increase was observed in technical areas in Syrdarya region - 49.2 points.

Passing scores for the preferential quota for women have increased. The 2026 passing scores for applicants in the preferential category have been published on the official website of the Agency for the Assessment of Knowledge and Qualifications.
According to the data, in some regions, the passing scores for the quota allocated for needy women who have received a recommendation have increased significantly compared to 2025.
The greatest increase was observed in the technical sector of the Syrdarya region. Here, the passing score increased by 49.2 points compared to last year.
Also, the passing score in the medical sector in Tashkent increased by 44.5 points, in the technical sector in Samarkand region by 34.1 points, and in the technical sector in Namangan by 32 points.
In Surkhandarya region, the increase in technical areas was 31.1 points, and in Navoi region - 28.1 points in the medical field.
In some regions, on the contrary, passing scores decreased. The largest decrease was recorded in the medical field of Jizzakh region - 31.1 points. While in 2025, the passing score in this area was 119.1 points, this year 63 female applicants from Jizzakh who scored above 88 points were admitted to study on a scholarship basis.
Also, in Tashkent city, the passing score in technical areas decreased by 29.8 points, in Tashkent region - by 27.1 points, and in Karakalpakstan - by 26.6 points.
It should be noted that at the moment, a recommendation letter does not give an applicant additional points to the test result. This privilege allows you to participate in the competition within the established special quota.
Therefore, if an applicant with a recommendation letter scores below the required passing score, the existence of a preference does not automatically mean that he or she will be accepted as a student.
