Pakistan has demanded that Afghan medical students leave the country

Pakistan has ordered Afghan citizens already studying in medical and dental universities to return to their homeland. Until further notice, new admissions, transfers, and other forms of enrollment for Afghans are also prohibited.

Educational institutions have been instructed to prepare the necessary documents and facilitate the departure of the students. At the same time, the document does not specify whether exceptions will be made for those in their final years of study.

In Lahore, the order has already affected at least 43 Afghan students at two medical universities, including 26 women. They were ordered to complete their departure documents within 24 hours. For female students, returning to Afghanistan could effectively mean the end of their studies due to the ban on higher education for women currently in place there.
