"Pakhtakor" drew with Saudi "Al-Qadsiah" in Tashkent

Pakhtakor plays to a draw with Saudi Al-Qadsiah in Tashkent

The vice-champion of Uzbekistan, Tashkent's Pakhtakor, ended its match of the second round of the main stage of the AFC Champions League Elite in a draw.

The match took place on October 12 at the Pakhtakor Stadium in Tashkent, where the hosts faced the Saudi club Al-Qadsiah. The visiting team's player Tijjani Reijnders opened the scoring in the 35th minute. The capital squad avoided defeat at the very end: in the 89th minute, Dostonbek Khamdamov accurately converted a penalty, setting the final score at 1:1.

For the Tashkent club, this is already the second consecutive draw in the tournament: in the opening round, Emil Caras's team drew 1:1 away against another team from Saudi Arabia, Al-Ahli. Pakhtakor will play its next match in the Asian club tournament away on October 26 against the Iraqi club Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya.
