Ozon opens a warehouse in Uzbekistan: free storage and new tariffs

Ozon announces the launch of its first fulfillment center in Uzbekistan. The logistics complex, with an area of over 7,000 square meters in Tashkent, will carry out the full cycle of order processing — from receiving goods to assembling packages. Now, sellers from Uzbekistan will be able to store their goods at the marketplace's warehouse, which will minimize delivery times within Uzbekistan and reduce costs for entrepreneurs. A key advantage: storage at the warehouse is completely free.

Ozon launches a warehouse in Uzbekistan: free storage and new tariffs

With the opening of the local warehouse, a new model of working on the marketplace — FBO (Fulfillment-by-Ozon) — becomes available to sellers from Uzbekistan. Under this scheme, the seller transfers goods for storage to the Ozon warehouse, and the platform takes care of all subsequent order processing and delivery. The entrepreneur no longer needs to rent their own warehouse space and buy packaging materials — Ozon takes on these tasks.

The new fulfillment center is designed to store more than 500 thousand goods. At the start of operations, the facility will be able to process up to 10 thousand orders per day, or about 300 thousand orders per month.

To send goods to the Ozon warehouse, the seller only needs to choose a convenient method: bring them independently, drop them off at the nearest Ozon order pickup point, or hand them over to the reception point at the "Malika" market in Tashkent.

Tariffs for selling goods under the FBO scheme start from 3% depending on the product category, and the cost of logistics starts from 1,736 soums per unit depending on the price and volume of the product. At the same time, storage until September 1, 2027, will be completely free. Expenses such as order processing, last mile, and acquiring will also not be charged separately, which will further reduce sellers' costs.

Thus, selling a smartphone worth 10,000,000 soums will cost the seller only 305,000 soums.

"With the launch of the fulfillment center in Tashkent, Ozon is entering a new stage of development in Uzbekistan: now sellers can not only send orders through our sorting center but also store goods in the marketplace's warehouse — with all the benefits of fulfillment. We are consistently investing in making online trade simpler, more accessible, and more efficient for local businesses — we are launching a warehouse, offering favorable tariffs, and localizing working conditions. All this is so that entrepreneurs can grow with confidence — both in Uzbekistan and in the largest CIS market, Russia," commented Natalya Boer, head of Ozon CIS.
