O‘zbekgidroenergo held an open dialogue with entrepreneurs
Today, August 11, an open dialogue between Islom Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC O‘zbekgidroenergo, and entrepreneurs took place at the UzHydroPower plant, located in the Bostanlyk district of the Tashkent region.

Today, August 11, an open dialogue was held between Islom Abdurakhmanov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekgidroenergo, and entrepreneurs at the UzHydroPower plant in the Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
The event focused on the further development of the hydropower industry, the expansion of small and micro hydropower plant construction, and increased private sector participation in public-private partnership projects.
The open dialogue was attended by the heads of JSC Hydroproekt and other organizations within the JSC Uzbekgidroenergo system, representatives of JSC Turonbank, and approximately 20 entrepreneurs.
At the beginning of the meeting, a detailed presentation was given on the extensive work being carried out by JSC O'zbekgidroenergo at the initiative and with the support of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Participants were informed about promising hydropower projects, the construction of small and micro hydropower plants, the potential of domestic production, and the opportunities created for private businesses.
Particular attention was paid to the practical aspects of project implementation—from identifying optimal sites and territories for the construction of small and micro hydropower plants and developing design documentation to selecting technical solutions, the necessary hydropower equipment, its supply, construction and installation work, and commissioning of the facilities.
During an open dialogue, entrepreneurs were able to directly discuss issues arising during the implementation of their projects with industry representatives and obtain the necessary information.
Specialists answered questions regarding the development of design and estimate documentation, technical requirements, equipment selection and supply, construction and installation work, commissioning of facilities, and project financing.
Turonbank representatives also explained the terms and conditions for obtaining preferential loans, financing options, and necessary procedural requirements.
O'zbekgidroenergo JSC confirmed its readiness to provide comprehensive support to private sector initiatives, from project development from scratch to full launch. Particular attention will be paid to promptly addressing emerging issues directly on-site and finding practical solutions.
The meeting also featured a presentation on the production capabilities of UzHydroPower, a plant focused on developing national industry and localizing production.
The joint venture, established in collaboration with the Chinese company Zhejiang Jinlun Electromechanic Co., Ltd., specializes in the production of modern hydroelectric units, turbines, generators, pumping units, and metal structures for reservoirs with capacities ranging from 1 kW to 40 MW.
The company's production capacity allows it to expand its capacity to supply small and microhydropower projects with modern, localized, and competitive equipment.
Following the meeting, proposals and requests from entrepreneurs were reviewed, practical solutions were identified, and relevant tasks were assigned to responsible officials.
This open dialogue aims to strengthen direct and systematic interaction with entrepreneurs in the hydropower sector, increase awareness of existing opportunities within the private sector, ensure financial and organizational support for projects, and increase business activity in implementing small and microhydropower projects.
