Over 90 people hospitalized after wedding in Azerbaijan

Over 90 people have been hospitalized after a wedding in Azerbaijan. The incident occurred in the Kurdamir District.

According to the Azerbaijani news agency Report, it was initially reported that 13 people, including seven young children, were hospitalized with symptoms of moderate food poisoning. Later, the number of victims increased to 91.

The victims were taken to the district central hospital. The vast majority were discharged after receiving first aid. The rest were later sent for outpatient treatment.

The mass poisoning occurred at the "Gunesh" banquet hall on September 30 at around 20:50. The Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan is conducting an inspection. Law enforcement officers have been deployed to the scene, and an investigation is underway.

Previously, in the Uchkuprik District of the Fergana Region, 57 people were hospitalized with suspected food poisoning. They began seeking medical attention after eating hot dogs and burgers at a fast-food outlet.
