On September 8, 1.5 million cars traveled on the roads of Tashkent

On September 8, 1,508,610 vehicles traveled on the roads of Tashkent within 24 hours. The capital's Traffic Management Center continues to monitor flow intensity, street congestion, and public transport operations in real time.

The maximum traffic load occurred during rush hours. From 07:00 to 08:00, 307,072 vehicles traveled on the capital's roads, and from 17:00 to 18:00 — 319,583.

During the morning rush hour, from 08:00 to 09:00, the congestion level reached 7 points at two intersections. These are the intersections of Nukus — Babur and Nukus — A. Kahhar streets.

At seven more intersections, congestion exceeded 7 points. Among them are the intersections of Bektemir Avenue, Nukus — Fargona Yuli, Sh. Rustaveli — Gavkhar, THAY — Charbog, THAY — Choshtepa, KHAY — Sarykul, and Parkent — M. Ulugbek.

To stabilize traffic in the most congested areas, traffic light operating modes were adjusted, including increasing the green light duration in certain directions. Traffic police officers were additionally deployed to regulate traffic at some intersections.

The traffic situation was also affected by road works. Utility services carried out works on 12 streets of the capital: Osh, Mukimi, Shurtepa, Uchtepa, Bogishamol, Chukursoy, Al-Khwarizmi, A. Kahhar, M. Yusuf, M. Ulugbek, Khonzodabegim, and KHAY. The works partially restricted traffic on the roadway.

Public transport also served a significant passenger flow on September 8. 1,668 buses on 170 routes completed 21,799 trips and carried 1,479,199 passengers. The Tashkent Metro was used by 1,037,544 passengers during the day.

Road Safety Service officers also continued to monitor compliance with traffic rules. On September 8, 11 cases of vehicles driving on pedestrian paths, 10 parking violations, and 24 stopping violations were recorded.

Drivers are urged not to leave cars on or in front of pedestrian paths, to yield to pedestrians at designated crossings, not to occupy bus stops, and not to use the dedicated "A" lane for public transport. Motorists are also reminded not to obstruct buses when entering and leaving stops.

As part of the road infrastructure update in the capital, 10 km of road markings and 27 pedestrian crossings were renewed during the day.

The Traffic Management Center recommends that motorists plan their routes in advance, taking into account the traffic load, and choose alternative routes if necessary.
