Nurmagomedov was knocked out in the UFC tournament in China.

In the main event of the UFC Fight Night 286 tournament in Shanghai, 28-year-old Chinese Song Yadong knocked out 30-year-old Russian Umar Nurmagomedov in the second round.

After a powerful blow from the Chinese fighter, Nurmagomedov immediately fell into the octagon. Yadong knocked Umar off balance with a blow to the neck, and then landed three more blows to his defenseless opponent. In this case, the referee stopped the fight and recorded a knockout.

Initially, Umar Nurmagomedov was supposed to fight at the UFC tournament scheduled for July in Abu Dhabi. However, his opponent David Martinez withdrew from the fight due to injury. After that, the UFC decided to move Nurmagomedov's fight to the tournament in Shanghai.

Umar Nurmagomedov is 30 years old. The Russian fighter made his UFC debut in 2021. His current record in the promotion is 8 wins and 2 losses.

Song Yadong, 28, made his UFC debut in 2017. The Chinese fighter has a record of 13 wins, 4 losses, and 1 draw in his UFC career.
