Kazakh fighter removed from UFC roster

Kazakh fighter Bekzat Almakhan has been delisted from the UFC. This was reported on the promotion's official website.

28-year-old Bekzat Almakhan began his professional MMA career in 2016 and has been with the UFC since 2024.

He made his debut in the world's most prestigious promotion at UFC Fight Night 238. In that fight, Almakhan entered the octagon against Russian Umar Nurmagomedov and lost by unanimous decision. Later, he knocked out Canadian Brad Katona, and also lost by decision to Georgian Alexander Topuria (brother of Ilya Topuria) and Brazilian Yan Matsumoto.

Another Kazakh fighter, Shavkat Rakhmonov, fought his last fight in December 2024 at UFC 310 against Irishman Ian Garry, winning by unanimous decision. He was removed from the UFC rankings in early 2026 due to an injury that kept him out of action for a long time.

For reference, Shavkat Rakhmonov was born in 1994 in the Shorchi district of Surkhandarya region. He received Kazakh citizenship in 2014 and moved to Karaganda with his family. Rakhmonov has been fighting in the UFC since 2020.
