New benefits for private theaters: rental costs will also be covered
A new procedure for supporting non-state theaters and theater studios will be implemented from September 1, 2026. According to it, some costs associated with the creation of stage productions and the rental of private premises will be covered from the state budget.

Private theaters will be given new privileges: now rental costs will also be covered.
According to the procedure established by the legislation, the costs of 50 plays created annually by non-state theaters and theater studios will be covered from the state budget.
In addition, up to 50 times the monthly base calculation amount of their private premises rental costs will also be covered by the state budget.
Also, state cultural facilities will be provided to non-state theaters and theater studios for use during their free time without paying rent to show performances.
If two or more non-state theaters or theater studios apply for the use of an auditorium, a competition will be held between them.
This procedure is aimed at supporting the activities of non-state theaters, encouraging the creation of new plays, and creating additional opportunities for them to show performances.
