Nearly 14 billion soums of water supply funds embezzled in Nurafshon
In the Tashkent region, the embezzlement of 13.9 billion soums of budget funds was uncovered.
A pre-investigation inquiry was conducted by the Zangiota District Department of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.
According to the agreement between the Tashkent regional branch of the State Unitary Enterprise "Engineering Company for the Construction of Water Supply and Sewerage Facilities" and the Tashkent Region "Suvoqova" State Unitary Enterprise, false information was processed stating that the construction work actually completed at the wastewater treatment plant under construction in the city of Nurafshon, worth 73.3 billion soums, was completed for 87.2 billion soums, thereby embezzling 13.9 billion soums of budget funds through misappropriation or waste.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding this situation under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are underway.
