National Guard detains street singer Bozorboy for extorting money from tourists in Tashkent. Video

Street singer Bozorboy, who became famous on social networks due to his intrusive performances in front of tourists at the Chorsu bazaar, was taken to the internal affairs department. The reason was an appeal from entrepreneurs who complained about the minor demanding money from visitors to the market.

According to the National Guard, the report was received on September 17 at approximately 17:00. Entrepreneurs spoke about a minor who was begging on the territory of the Eski Juva market.

A National Guard serviceman, deployed to protect public order at the market, found the child, brought him to the internal affairs premises on the territory of the market, and handed him over to prevention service officers.

During the investigation, it was established that the boy was asking for money from entrepreneurs and citizens, including tourists. According to the agency, he insulted and continued to harass those who refused to pay.

The young performer has previously been the subject of discussion on social networks due to his specific methods of working with the audience. In particular, a video caused a wide resonance where Bozorboy sang for foreign guests at Chorsu, after which he demanded 100,000 soums for the performance in an ultimatum form. When the tourist tried to smooth over the conflict and offered 50,000, the boy snatched 150,000 soums from his hands.

Currently, prevention service officers are conducting an investigation and establishing the circumstances of the incident.
