A person nicknamed "Izzat Nazarbek" who extorted $108,000 from citizens by intimidating them was detained in Tashkent

A person known by the nickname "Izzat Nazarbek" was arrested in Tashkent on suspicion of extorting a total of 108 thousand US dollars and other property from citizens through threats and violence. This was reported by the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the capital.

During the operational activities conducted by the Tashkent City Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" month, two citizens appealed to law enforcement agencies.

According to one of the applicants, a person named "Izzat", whom he had known since 2019, extorted a total of 70 thousand dollars from him through intimidation and violence. Another citizen reported that he was forced to become a business partner, buy a car and give 38 thousand dollars.

During the pre-investigation investigation, another woman also appealed, stating that she was threatened with the release of her private photos and forced to have sex.

During the rapid response, the suspect was identified as Isak, born in 1988, known by the nickname "Izzat Nazarbek", and was detained in a gym in the Uchtepa district. Two "Baikal" pistols, ammunition, knives and a holster were found on him.

A criminal case was initiated under Article 165, Part 3, Clause "a" (Extortion) and Article 121, Part 4, Clause "v" (Satisfaction of sexual desire by force in an unnatural way) of the Criminal Code. The suspect was taken into custody as a precautionary measure.

At the end of July, it was reported that Georgy Sorokin, nicknamed Zhora Tashkentsky, known in the criminal world as a "thief in law", was detained in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh and extradited to Uzbekistan.

As a result of an international search operation in cooperation with law enforcement agencies and Interpol, Sorokin was detained in Egypt. After completing the necessary international legal procedures, he was brought to Uzbekistan and handed over to the relevant authorities for criminal prosecution.
