In January–September 2026, the volume of market services in the Namangan region reached 49.6 trillion soums, which is 15% higher than the figure for the same period last year.
232.7 billion soums were allocated from the republic budget for the development of the services sector in the region. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Thanks to the implemented projects, more than 385 new business entities appeared in the region, and over 295 existing enterprises expanded their activities. The number of new jobs exceeded 1,950.

One of the key facilities was a 24/7 street in Namangan. A 2 km long section of Lutfiy, U. Nosir, and Bank streets, passing through the Obikhayot mahalla, was transformed into a modern trade and services zone. 4.9 billion soums were allocated from the republic budget for the project.
In this area, 20 thousand sq. m of pedestrian paths with a total length of 8 km were reconstructed, 50 benches were installed, 3 km of irrigation systems were laid, and 5 km of gutters were mounted. The lake in the park area was brought into a modern appearance.
For lighting and power supply of the street, 400 lamps were installed, 3 km of power grids were laid, and two transformer points with a capacity of 400 kVA were mounted. In addition, an enclosed waste collection site was equipped.
As a result, 30 new business entities opened and more than 120 jobs were created in the renovated section.
Retail stores, catering establishments, and consumer service facilities operate here, and recreation and walking areas have been arranged. The number of street visitors per day increased from 2.5 thousand to 4.6 thousand people.
By the end of 2026, it is planned to continue expanding the service sector infrastructure in the Namangan region. The plans include eight coastal zones, 19 busy streets, 12 roadside areas, five recreational parks, as well as seven tourism facilities and streets.
Within the framework of these projects, it is expected to create more than 450 new business entities and expand the activities of over 200 existing ones. The number of new jobs, according to the plan, should be about 2,100.
