Namangan and Mingachevir seek to expand cooperation

Namangan and Mingachevir discussed trade, investment, industry, energy, tourism and joint projects during a regional delegation’s visit to Azerbaijan.

Namangan and Mingachevir Aim for Broader Collaboration

A delegation from Uzbekistan's Namangan region, headed by Governor Shavkat Abdurazzakov, engaged in discussions with Mingachevir, Azerbaijan's leadership regarding the expansion of regional cooperation and the execution of joint initiatives.

According to the Namangan regional administration, the discussions centered on various sectors including trade and economic relations, investment, industry, energy, tourism, and entrepreneurship.

The meeting, which included Mingachevir Executive Authority head Ilham Ismailov, addressed the development of direct relationships between regions in Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, as well as avenues for establishing new business connections among entrepreneurs.

Both parties also explored increasing mutual trade, attracting investments, and undertaking joint projects. They reached an agreement to share expertise in multiple fields and to enhance cooperation between enterprises in the two regions.

It was noted during the talks that Mingachevir's industrial and energy capabilities, coupled with Namangan region's investment prospects, lay a foundation for advancing joint projects.

Mingachevir also showcased its industrial and energy sector opportunities. During their visit, the Namangan delegation toured Mingachevir Textile and Azerenerji, observing production processes, current capacities, utilized technologies, and future development plans.

Separate discussions were held with the management of these companies. Participants deliberated on potential cooperation in industry, energy, and investment, encompassing the exchange of production knowledge, the launch of new projects, and the adoption of modern technologies.

Beyond economic matters, the delegations also discussed possibilities for collaboration in tourism and cultural and humanitarian fields.

The meetings concluded with agreements to sustain cooperation in the identified areas and to implement promising projects.
