The Namangan Region and the Vitebsk Region are deepening their industrial and logistics partnership.

A delegation from the Namangan Region, led by Khokim Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov, arrived in Belarus on an official visit. In the Vitebsk Region, the Uzbek delegation held talks with regional leaders, focusing on expanding cooperation in logistics, industrial cooperation, and developing business ties, according to the Namangan Regional Khokimiyat.

During the visit, Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov met with Alexander Rogozhnik, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The parties discussed strengthening comprehensive cooperation between the two regions and expanding collaboration between businesses in the Namangan and Vitebsk Regions.

The delegation's visit began with a visit to the Bremino-Orsha multimodal industrial and logistics complex. According to the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, this complex is the largest logistics hub for the Vitebsk Region and Belarus, boasting railway terminals, refrigeration equipment, and air service.

Deputy Chairperson of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina, noted that the complex's infrastructure can be used to organize the supply of Belarusian products to Uzbekistan and the import of Uzbek goods, including fresh vegetables, fruits, and dried fruits. The site allows for the accumulation of freight flows, cargo clearance, and the formation of regular multiple unit trains.

Furthermore, the complex offers potential for the establishment of light industry, woodworking, and food processing enterprises. Among the areas under consideration are fruit processing and juice production, with potential for export to Uzbekistan and third countries.

Official negotiations with the leaders of the two regions were held at the Orsha District Executive Committee. The main topics discussed included the optimization of logistics routes, increasing regular freight traffic, and the creation of joint ventures.

The visit's itinerary also includes a visit to the Dokshitsy district, where an agricultural enterprise with Uzbek capital has been operating since 2019. The company specializes in sheep farming. During the talks, the parties intend to discuss specific steps to expand and strengthen this production.

The Namangan region delegation's visit includes further discussions of projects and areas of cooperation between the two regions, including logistics, industrial cooperation, and agriculture.
