More than 96 thousand Uzbeks returned from Russia in 10 days

In 10 days, 96,415 citizens were returned to Uzbekistan from Russia. This was reported by the Migration Agency.

It is reported that of the citizens brought back between August 25 and September 5, 54,885 were returned directly from Russia, and 41,530 via Kazakhstan.

Appeals from Uzbek citizens temporarily engaged in labor activities in the Russian Federation are being accepted on a 24/7 basis, and issues ranging from legal and labor matters to assisting those in difficult situations, offering other job opportunities to the unemployed, and helping those wishing to return to their homeland are being considered on an individual basis.

During the 10 days, 6,413 appeals were received from citizens in this country. Practical assistance was provided to about 5.5 thousand citizens. Legal assistance was provided to 2,681 citizens, certificates of return were issued to 726 citizens, and 272 citizens were assisted in employment. Also, during this period, financial assistance was provided to 59 citizens, wage arrears were recovered in favor of 31 citizens, and 29 other types of assistance were provided.

Negotiations were held with 20 large employers in Russia, and more than 2.5 thousand vacancies were established.

In 7 months, 2,888 citizens who found themselves in difficult situations abroad were returned to Uzbekistan. In July alone, nearly 600 Uzbeks were brought back from Russia. The Migration Agency urged Uzbeks facing financial or other serious difficulties in returning home not to delay in asking for help.
