More than 25 thousand new pieces of equipment per year: "NURA Electric" electrical engineering complex launched in Uzbekistan with a $50 million investment
More than 1,000 jobs have been created at the enterprise. The production and warehouse complex occupies an area of 200,000 square meters. The complex consists of welding, preparation, busbar, marking and assembly, painting, and gathering shops. More than 25 thousand new units of equipment per year: The "NURA Electric" electrotechnical complex was launched in Uzbekistan with an investment of $50 million
The NURA Electric machine park includes more than 120 high-tech units of equipment. Among them are CNC machines and presses belonging to the Japanese company AMADA, as well as DURMA and TESLABEND sheet bending equipment manufactured in Turkey.
With the help of these technologies, the enterprise produces more than 25,520 units of equipment per year. The product range consists of more than 1,500 types.
The enterprise manufactures products such as complete switchgear devices, transformer substations, relay protection and automation cabinets for power facilities with voltages of 10, 35, 110, and 220–500 kV. The company has established a full cycle from design to production and 24/7 service. The localization level of the products has been brought up to 60 percent.
According to representatives of the enterprise, NURA Electric was established in 2021. Today, more than 1 thousand employees work at the complex. Along with producing high and low voltage electrotechnical products, the plant has the capability to export them to CIS and European countries. Within the framework of the project, special attention is paid to carrying out processes from raw material processing to the finished product within a single enterprise.
As Farrukh Karimberdiyev, a representative of the NURA Electric plant, noted, one of the important aspects of the production complex is import substitution and strengthening technological independence.
"Metal raw materials enter the enterprise in the form of finished rolls, and various equipment and technical solutions necessary for energy systems are produced from them right here. Local specialists are actively participating in these processes. They have undergone appropriate training and certification for working with modern technologies. Through this, not only are modern electrotechnical products being produced in Uzbekistan, but a base of local specialists necessary for high-tech production is also being formed," he noted.
