More than 1.1 trillion soums in subsidies were paid to citizens for mortgage loans

More than 1.1 trillion soums in subsidies were paid to citizens for mortgage loans in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the Ministry of Economy and Finance on September 4.

According to the report, subsidies were allocated to 12,355 citizens to obtain mortgage loan subsidies in 2026. Of this, 367 billion soums were directed to cover the initial down payment or a part of it, and 774.1 billion soums were directed to interest payments on mortgage loans allocated in previous years. In addition, a subsidy of 19.4 billion soums was allocated for targeted mortgage deposits.

The valley regions led among the territories in terms of subsidy utilization. Andijan region ranked first, with 43.8 billion soums allocated to 1,472 citizens for the down payment. In Fergana region, 41.9 billion soums were given to 1,410 people for this purpose, and in Namangan, 41.6 billion soums were provided to 1,046 people.

Qashqadaryo region was recorded next — 1,260 citizens benefited from this privilege, and 37.5 billion soums were allocated to them. Residents of Tashkent city ranked last in this regard, with 11.6 billion soums allocated to 389 people.

Applications for mortgage loan subsidies in Uzbekistan started on March 16, 2026. Applications were accepted starting from July 27 from the unused portion of notifications provided within the target indicators for the payment of mortgage loan subsidies during their validity period.

Agrobank, Aloqabank, Asakabank, Asia Alliance Bank, Business Development Bank, Hamkorbank, Ipak Yuli Bank, Ipotekabank, Mikrokreditbank, Orient Finans Bank, Trastbank, Turonbank, Xalq Bank, National Bank of Uzbekistan (Uzmilliybank), and Uzsanoatqurilishbank are participating in the subsidy allocation program.
