In Uzbekistan, mortgage subsidies exceeded 1.14 trillion soums

The Ministry of Economy and Finance reported that in 2026, 12,355 citizens received mortgage subsidies amounting to 1,141.2 billion soums.

In 2026, subsidies for securing mortgage loans were received by 12,355 citizens of Uzbekistan for a total amount of 1,141.2 billion soums. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Of this amount, 367 billion soums were directed towards covering the down payment or a part of it, and 774.1 billion soums went towards compensating interest payments on mortgage loans issued in previous years.

The largest amount of down payment subsidies was allocated to the Andijan region — 1,472 people for 43.8 billion soums. This is followed by the Fergana region (1,410 people, 41.9 billion soums) and the Namangan region (1,406 people, 41.6 billion soums).

The regions with high indicators also included the Kashkadarya (1,260 people, 37.5 billion soums), Surkhandarya (1,184 people, 35.4 billion soums), and Samarkand (1,030 people, 30.4 billion soums) regions. The lowest volumes were recorded in the Syrdarya region (410 people, 12.2 billion soums) and the city of Tashkent (389 people, 11.6 billion soums).

Among commercial banks, Agrobank became the leader in terms of the number and volume of subsidized mortgage loans issued — 3,779 borrowers for 112.3 billion soums, of which 151 borrowers for 6.12 billion soums accounted for targeted mortgage loans.

This is followed by Ipoteka-bank (1,538 borrowers, 45.4 billion soums) and Xalq Bank (1,371 borrowers, 40.8 billion soums). The active banks also included the Business Development Bank (1,326 borrowers, 39.2 billion soums) and Uzsanoatqurilishbank (1,164 borrowers, 34.8 billion soums). The lowest volumes were noted at Asaka Bank (107 borrowers, 3.2 billion soums), Orient Finans Bank (42 borrowers, 1.2 billion soums), and Infinbank (2 borrowers, 0.1 billion soums).

According to the ministry, the subsidy program covers both the compensation of the down payment and the repayment of a portion of interest payments on previously issued mortgage loans.
