On August 22, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree awarding a group of military personnel and law enforcement officers in connection with the 35th anniversary of the country's state independence.
The awards were given for courage and dedication, as well as for their contribution to strengthening the country's defense capability, ensuring security, the rule of law, peace, and public order.
Representatives of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Prosecutor's Office, the judiciary, customs, and other government agencies were awarded the Orders of Labor Glory, Shon-Sharaf, Friendship, Health, and Mardlik, as well as the medals of Zhasorat, For Faithful Service, and Shukhrat.
A number of military personnel and law enforcement officers were awarded state awards posthumously.
