The agreement reached on Mikel's new contract puts an end to long-running negotiations regarding the coach's future at the club. The Spanish specialist had previously stated his desire to stay at "Arsenal" and expressed no doubt that the parties would definitely reach an agreement.

The exact duration of the new deal has not yet been disclosed. However, according to reports, the contract will allow Arteta to continue his career at "Arsenal" until at least 2029.
