Meat product imports to Uzbekistan increased by 34%
The Customs Committee reported that imports of meat products into Uzbekistan for January–August 2026 increased by 34%, to 678.4 million dollars.

During January–August 2026, imports of meat products to Uzbekistan reached 678.4 million dollars, which is 34.3% more than in the same period last year, when the figure stood at 505.2 million dollars. These data are provided by the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.
Beef continued to account for the largest share of imports: its deliveries in monetary terms grew by 30.0% — from 399.2 to 519.1 million dollars, and in physical volume — by 13.4%, from 98.0 to 111.1 thousand tons.
Chicken imports in value terms increased by 24.1% — from 44.1 to 54.7 million dollars, and by volume — by 20.6%, from 37.7 to 45.5 thousand tons. Mutton imports grew even more noticeably — by 77.3% in monetary terms, from 27.0 to 47.9 million dollars, while the volume rose by 29.6%, from 16.9 to 21.9 thousand tons.
Deliveries of meat offal grew by 14.3% in value terms — from 19.5 to 22.3 million dollars, with a volume increase of 12.5%, from 20.4 to 23.0 thousand tons. Imports of canned meat products added 27.2% — from 9.3 to 11.9 million dollars, while the volume grew by 9.3%, from 2.7 to 3.0 thousand tons.
The sharpest growth in relative terms was recorded for duck meat: its imports in monetary terms increased almost 54-fold — from 0.17 to 9.3 million dollars, and by volume — almost 74-fold, from 77.0 to 5,684.6 tons. Turkey meat imports grew 9.2-fold in value terms — from 0.7 to 6.8 million dollars, with a 5.5-fold volume growth, from 460.9 to 2,534.8 tons.
Sausage imports increased by 27.0% in value terms — from 3.8 to 4.8 million dollars, with a volume growth of 17.9%, from 1.5 to 1.8 thousand tons. Pork imports grew by 65.5% — from 0.67 to 1.11 million dollars, and the volume increased by 84.6%, from 200.4 to 370.0 tons.
Horsemeat imports in monetary terms remained almost unchanged — 0.77 million dollars against 0.77 million dollars a year earlier, while the physical volume decreased by 20.1%, from 235.9 to 188.5 tons. Imports of smoked and salted meat products grew in value terms from 0.5 to 1.6 thousand dollars, and the volume — from 50.3 to 154.5 kilograms.
Goose meat imports, which were absent in the same period last year, amounted to 102.4 kilograms worth 0.8 thousand dollars in 2026. Imports of meat from other animals were not recorded in either period.
