Maternity and sickness benefits are transferred to the "Baraka" card

Maternity and sickness benefits will now be transferred to the "Baraka" card

According to the new procedure introduced in Uzbekistan, maternity and maternity benefits, as well as temporary disability benefits, will be transferred to the "Baraka" social card. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

It is noted that this procedure will allow citizens to receive social insurance payments more conveniently, quickly and without unnecessary hassle. If a citizen has a "Baraka" social card, the allocated benefit funds will be automatically transferred to this card without any additional application or referral. In this case, the citizen does not need to go to the bank, open a separate account or submit additional documents to receive benefit funds.

**What if there is no "Baraka" card?**

If a citizen does not have a "Baraka" social card, after the benefit is assigned, a virtual social card will be automatically opened for the citizen through the "Baraka" mobile application. The allocated pension funds are transferred to this virtual card. To obtain a virtual social card, it is not necessary to go to the bank or apply separately. A citizen can view all the necessary information through the "Baraka" mobile application.

**How to check pension funds?**

After the pension is assigned, a citizen can log in to the "Baraka" mobile application and view information about his virtual social card and the funds received on it. It is also possible to track the necessary information related to the card and payments through the application. Therefore, citizens who have been assigned a maternity or temporary disability pension are recommended to download the "Baraka" mobile application and regularly check the information in it.

**Advantages of the new procedure**

This system is aimed, first of all, at simplifying the process of receiving benefits. A citizen is not required to apply additionally to receive benefits, go to the bank, or go through unnecessary procedures related to opening a separate card. Electronic payments allow for the convenient and transparent delivery of benefits to citizens.

Also, receiving benefits through the "Baraka" social card ensures citizens' quick access to information about payments.

This procedure serves to digitize the state social insurance system, simplify service processes, and improve the quality of social services provided to citizens.

According to the ministry, if a physical plastic card is needed, an order can be placed through the "Baraka" mobile application. Citizens who have been assigned a sick leave will be issued a "Baraka" social card free of charge.

The National Agency for Social Protection stated that citizens interested in finding out whether a benefit has been assigned, when it will be paid, or the amount of sick leave can call the 1070 hotline or contact the Payments branch of the "Inson" social services center attached to the mahalla.
