A man in his 20s who was arrested over a suspected arson attack that killed four family members in the Republic of Ireland has been released without charge.

Philip and Kim English, along with two of their children — nine-year-old Jayden and 12-year-old Callum — died after their home in Birch Avenue, on the outskirts of Waterford, was set on fire earlier this month.

A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s had already been charged in connection with the attack.

On Saturday, gardaí (Irish police) said three people — two women in their 30s and a man in his 50s — who were arrested on Tuesday were also released without charge.

Gardaí said the investigation into the attack is continuing.
