Long delays in propane supply continue in some areas
Residents of the village of Kirkvaldi, Bagdad district, Fergana region, gathered all their belongings on August 18 and waited from morning until evening for the arrival of gas cylinders. It has been more than three months since they were last given liquefied gas. "We have been waiting for almost 12 hours. It is beyond words. Elon Musk says that we will create trouble on Mars, and we are waiting for gas cylinders. It will be fine, God willing," says the author of the video sent to Kun.uz.

Long-term disruptions in the supply of liquefied gas continue in the Fergana region.
A video circulated shows dozens of villagers waiting in a long line for a truck to deliver propane cylinders. They were told the day before that "the gas cylinder will arrive tomorrow."
"August 18, 2026. It's dusk and the moon has risen. We have been sitting without work since 9 am. The last time liquefied gas arrived was on May 12. It's been more than three months, and there are no gas cylinders. We have been waiting for almost 12 hours. Words cannot describe this situation. While Elon Musk is planning to build something on Mars, we are waiting for gas cylinders. God willing, everything will be fine," the applicant said.
The residents went to the district gas office and complained to the head of the office. The chief explained the delay by saying that due to the scorching heat, a restriction on filling gas cylinders was imposed from 11:00 to 17:00 for safety reasons.
The villagers responded: "Call the driver and let us know for sure whether he will come today or tomorrow."
The head of the gas department said that he himself did not know whether the driver would come today or not, that it depended on the gas station in Oltiarik and the queues there.
Three weeks ago, at the end of July, Kun.uz published a report that liquefied gas cylinders had not been delivered to the Kuva district of the Fergana region for more than 100 days. Soon after, it became known that long delays in the supply of propane to households had spread throughout the republic.
At that time, the Ministry of Energy announced that work was being carried out to gradually eliminate existing problems in this area.
For information, to cover the needs of 509 thousand households in the Fergana region (20 kg each) an average of 10.2 thousand tons of liquefied gas per month is needed, but since the beginning of the year, this much propane has not been delivered per month. The figure of 8.5 thousand tons in January decreased month by month, falling to 4 thousand tons in May and 4.9 thousand tons in June. This does not even cover half of the needs.
