**Liverpool could be valued at nearly $6 billion after potential deal with Jeff Bezos**

Tashkent, Uzbekistan – Podrobno.uz News Agency.

A consortium including Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is approaching the acquisition of approximately one-third of English football club Liverpool FC. If successful, the deal could value the team at £4.4 billion, equivalent to approximately $5.9 billion. The club's owners could announce the agreement as early as this week.

In addition to Jeff Bezos, the consortium also includes Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin. According to Sky News, the group is led by Amit Bhatia, the son-in-law of Indian metals magnate Lakshmi Mittal and a former shareholder of English club Queens Park Rangers. This consortium is in talks to purchase approximately one-third of Liverpool FC's shares.

Liverpool's owners, the American Fenway Sports Group (FSG), have been actively exploring options for outside investment in recent years, while striving to retain control of the club. If the deal is completed at the current valuation, it would rank among the most expensive in football history.

FSG acquired Liverpool in 2010. The club's value has increased significantly over the past 16 years. The team will win the English Premier League title in 2025.

Liverpool is currently undergoing significant change. The club parted ways with head coach Arne Slot and striker Mohamed Salah. In July, Michael Edwards, who was linked with building the squad that won the English Premier League in 2020, stepped down as FSG's executive director of football.

Neither Liverpool nor FSG have commented on the reports of a possible deal.
