Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov emphasized that relations between Moscow and Tashkent play a key role in maintaining stability and security both in Central Asia and throughout Eurasia. This statement was made in a congratulatory telegram sent by the Russian minister to his Uzbek counterpart, Bakhtiyor Saidov, on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence.
Lavrov expressed confidence that the foreign ministries of both countries will continue to actively promote the development of bilateral relations, guided by the agreements reached by the leaders of Russia and Uzbekistan. He also noted that their joint work will be aimed at ensuring stability and security in the region.
The Russian minister praised the cooperation between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
