KMG PetroChem presented petrochemical projects in Uzbekistan.

A discussion of promising Kazakh-Uzbek initiatives in the petrochemical industry took place in Tashkent. These included the creation of facilities for the production of terephthalic acid and polyethylene terephthalate (PET), as well as linear alkyl benzene (LAB) in Karshi.

According to the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the meeting took place on August 18. It was attended by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan, Yeral Tugzhanov, and representatives of KMG PetroChem LLP.

KMG PetroChem was represented by Diaz Diyanov, Chairman of the Board, and Timur Seitbekov, Director of the New Projects Department. They presented the current status of Kazakh-Uzbek projects in the petrochemical sector.

The meeting participants discussed issues related to the procurement of raw materials for the projects, the selection of locations for production facilities, and the creation of stable sales channels. Particular attention was paid to KMG PetroChem's continued cooperation with relevant Uzbek government agencies and companies.

Among the initiatives presented were projects to establish terephthalic acid and polyethylene terephthalate production facilities, as well as to produce linear alkyl benzene in Karshi.

The parties also discussed opportunities to expand industrial cooperation between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the petrochemical industry. Specifically, the discussion focused on developing joint production chains and increasing the production of high-value-added products.

Yeral Tugzhanov emphasized Kazakhstan's interest in further developing mutually beneficial joint projects.

The Ambassador also assured KMG PetroChem of the embassy's readiness to provide the necessary assistance in establishing cooperation with Uzbek partners.
