Kallas: Russia's hybrid attacks are threatening lives across Europe
The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, has accused Russia of intensifying hybrid attacks, sabotage attempts, and airspace violations in Europe. She emphasized that these actions pose a threat to human lives even outside of Ukraine.

Kallas: Russia's hybrid attacks are threatening lives across Europe
Kallas announced this on October 5 at a press conference in Brussels held with Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan
The head of European diplomacy stated that in recent weeks, there has been a sharp increase in Russia-related hybrid attacks, sabotage attempts, and airspace violations across the continent.
"Over the past weekend, Russian missiles and drones once again violated Moldovan airspace. This is absolutely unacceptable," Kallas said.
In her view, Moscow is attempting to instill fear and disrupt the decision-making process of European nations through such actions. In response, Kallas emphasized the need to increase resilience to threats and strengthen support for Ukraine.
At the end of September, Russia intensified strikes on Ukraine's energy system, with Kyiv and other regions of the country also coming under attack. Against the backdrop of these attacks, the Moldovan Ministry of Defense reported that three unmanned aerial vehicles had entered the country's airspace.
German Chancellor Friedrich Merz had also previously warned of the possibility of new hybrid attacks by Russia.
German officials have repeatedly stated that Moscow is conducting a hybrid campaign using drones and cyberattacks. In particular, Berlin claimed in August that Russia was behind an attempted drone attack at Leipzig airport.
