It has been revealed that illegal use of drinking water in Tashkent and Navoiy caused 468.4 million soums of damage to the state

It was established that illegal use of drinking water in the city of Tashkent and Navoiy region caused 468.4 million soums of damage to the state. This was reported by the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office.

It was found during the pre-investigation check that responsible persons of "M.O." LLC arbitrarily connected a construction site in the "Nafosat" neighborhood citizens' community (MFY) to the water supply network. They used drinking water for commercial purposes, causing damage worth 366.6 million soums.

Also, in a pre-investigation check conducted by the Zarafshan city branch of the Department, it was established that the head of "Z.G." LLC, Sh.T., directly connected the enterprise building to the public drinking water network and illegally used drinking water worth 101.8 million soums.

Criminal cases have been initiated regarding these situations under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are underway.

Earlier, it was reported that illegal use of drinking water in Andijan caused 680 million soums of damage, and an official who promised to reduce the damage was caught while receiving 30 million soums. It was also reported that 3,899 illegal connections to water networks were detected in 2025, causing damage worth 76.2 billion soums.
