Instances of unauthorized connections to power grids were identified in the Tashkent, Namangan, and Navoi regions. The electricity was illegally used to operate pumps, elevators, lighting, and for commercial purposes. The total damage is estimated at approximately 4.5 billion soums.

In particular, in the Bekabad district of the Tashkent region, the heads of farms and dehkan farms illegally connected water pumps directly to the power grid. The electricity was used on land plots located in the Yangi Hayot and Khos mahallas, resulting in damages of 2.1 billion soums.

A major incident was also recorded in Nurafshan, where elevators, pumps, and lighting in 37 multi-story buildings were illegally connected to the power grid. As a result, the illegally used electricity was estimated at 1.6 billion soums.

In the Pskent district, a citizen connected a water pump directly to the power grid on a plot of land in the Zominovul mahalla, causing damage amounting to 425.1 million soums.

In Turakurgan, Namangan region, citizens illegally connected to the public power grid at a farm in the Yandama mahalla, using the electricity for commercial purposes. The value of the illegally consumed electricity amounted to 282.8 million soums.

Another incident was recorded in Nurata, Navoi region, where a citizen illegally connected his home to the power grid in the Yangi Khayot mahalla. The damage from this action amounted to 143.5 million soums. Criminal cases have been opened in all identified cases, and investigations are ongoing.

Earlier, it was reported that electricity theft amounting to over 3.3 billion soums had been discovered in the Sharaf-Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region.
