During the investigation, it was revealed that citizen T.M., living in the "Muruvvat" neighborhood of Fergana city, was breeding Siamese shark catfish, not sharks. According to the citizen, the fish are currently not in the basement, but have been placed in the yard of his house.

"Incorrect information spread on the Internet that sharks are being bred in the basement of a multi-story building. I apologize for this," said T.M.

For information, the Siamese shark catfish is considered an aquarium fish. Due to its appearance resembling a shark, it is also known as "shark catfish" or "aquarium shark", as well as pangasius.

Earlier, the regional Construction Department fined the individual who set up the fish farm in the basement and ordered them to restore the basement to its original state within 15 days.
