It is proposed to introduce the Amir Temur State Scholarship in Uzbekistan

It is proposed to introduce the Amir Temur State Scholarship for talented students of higher education organizations in Uzbekistan.

This is specified in the draft resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, which provides for amendments and additions to the resolution "On awarding and financially encouraging talented youth of Uzbekistan."

According to the draft, the Amir Temur State Scholarship may be awarded to students studying in the last two years of state, non-state, and foreign higher education organizations, as well as joint educational programs.

It is proposed to set the number of this scholarship to one for each higher education organization.

The applicant must have excellent academic performance, engage in scientific or creative work, participate in conferences and competitions, and know the history of Uzbekistan, the state language, and at least one foreign language.

In addition, it is proposed that the graduation thesis of the applicant for the Amir Temur scholarship must be dedicated to the heritage of Amir Temur and the Timurids, or they must have published at least two scientific works in this field.

According to the draft, applicants recommended for the next stage of the competition will upload their documents to the my.edu.uz system annually from September 5 to 15. Recommendations for awarding the scholarship are scheduled to be reviewed from October 5 to 25.

It is also proposed to admit students who hold the named state scholarship to full-time master's degree programs without competition, on the basis of an additional state grant, within one year after completing their bachelor's degree.
