It has been revealed how much aid Germany has provided to Ukraine since the beginning of the war

Germany has provided Ukraine with more than 65 billion euros in aid since the start of the war.

Since the start of Russia's large-scale invasion, Germany has provided Ukraine with more than 65 billion euros in aid. This was announced by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga at a joint press conference with his German counterpart Johann Wadeful in Kiev.

Sibiga noted that Germany remains one of the main partners for Ukraine in the areas of security, defense industry and post-war reconstruction. According to him, Germany is the first country to establish a joint production facility specializing in the defense sector on the territory of Ukraine. Currently, the two countries are expanding cooperation, in particular, in the production of modern weapons and drones.

"Ukraine is important for Germany not only in the security sector, but also as a strategic economic partner. I am sure that this cooperation will only expand," Sibiga said.

The Ukrainian foreign minister expressed hope that Berlin would continue its defense assistance, support his country's accession to the European Union, and support the initiative to use frozen Russian assets to restore Ukraine.

"Germany is in the first place in providing assistance. We appreciate it," Sibiga said. According to him, Kiev expects further assistance from Germany in the security sector, the development of the defense industry, the advancement of negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the European Union, and the issue of frozen Russian assets.

Before the press conference, Sibiga and Vadeful took part in a national moment of silence on Independence Square in memory of the fallen Ukrainians.
