It became known that the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Bank have created a special system to combat cybercrime

As a result of the establishment of this special system, 29 trillion soums of illegal money was prevented in 6 months. In addition, 18,838 bank cards related to crimes were blocked.

It was announced that a special system has been launched to combat cybercrime in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Central Bank. This was noted at the next meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The ministry has declared 2026 the "Year of Combating Cybercrime", and preventive measures in this direction have been significantly strengthened.

It is noted that as a result of the implementation of this special system, created jointly with the Central Bank, 29 trillion soums of illegal funds were prevented from leaving the country. Also, 18,838 bank cards involved in crimes were blocked.

Over the past six months, a total of 9,282 cybercrimes have been uncovered, of which 4,011 crimes were detected on an initiative basis. In addition, more than 120 billion 496 million soums of material damage caused to more than 13 thousand citizens have been compensated.

The meeting criticized the inadequacy of the work being done. In particular, it was emphasized that it is necessary to comprehensively and in-depth study of appeals from citizens, as well as to conduct a thorough analysis of the causes of cybercrime and the factors that enable it.
