Issues of protecting the rights of Uzbeks in Russia discussed in Moscow
The Uzbek delegation held a working meeting in Moscow with Russian First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Andrei Kikot, Deputy Prosecutor General Pyotr Gorodov, and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Discussions were held in Moscow on the protection of the rights of Uzbeks living in Russia.
The Uzbek delegation included Deputy Foreign Minister Olimjon Abdullayev, Director of the Migration Agency Bekhzod Musayev, Ambassador to Russia Botirjon Asadov, Consul General Mekhriddin Khayriddinov, and Advisor Bakhodir Nazarov.
The meeting considered issues of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens in Russia, including timely notification of the Uzbek side about their detention, ensuring compliance with their rights during migration activities, and prompt cooperation on emerging problems.
Special attention was paid to issues related to the register of controlled persons, as well as the possibilities of regulating the legal status of certain categories of citizens in need of social protection.
In addition, issues of organized employment of Uzbek citizens in Russia, their professional and pre-departure training, as well as improving migration procedures were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue practical cooperation to ensure the rights and legitimate interests of Uzbek citizens, as well as to further develop cooperation in the field of migration.
